Freddy Venediger

Armed with a lot of enthusiasm despite no previous experience or contacts in the events industry, I graduated from the University of South Wales, firstly with a FD in Lighting, Sound and Live Event Technology, and then a BSc in Live Event Technology in 2015.

Armed with my newly acquired technical skills, I entered the events industry by working from the ground up, starting  as freelance crew for various crewing companies around South Wales. Whilst I grafted through the hard work of physically loading equipment into various venues, trucks and cliff-based stages, I got a true feel for the events industry and used the opportunity to learn more from the technicians I worked with.

Through the rapport I built up working with many of the production and supply companies based around South Wales, I gradually built up a good contact base to work as a technician myself. Eventually, through a close connection with SR Production Services I started to build up my experience, learning the ropes on rigging a lighting show and how to operate a Titan Mobile. This allowed me to grow as a technician, gradually expanding my reach into new companies and learning more about the world of lighting.

Discovering my passion for lighting was a eureka moment and I have been hooked on delivering spectacular looks and jaw dropping scenes ever since!

My creative approach ­– whatever the event – is to be as involved with the production as much as I can, to create a look that will truly satisfy both the client and those attending, whilst also quenching my own thirst for transforming a space through lighting.

Whilst my portfolio is currently not vast, my ambition to grow this certainly is,

to continually produce better and better work for my clients.
